Do I need training to start a permanent jewellery business?

Is permanent jewellery training available online or in person?
In-person training runs from 9am–3pm at our Poulton-le-Fylde studio and includes pre-study plus lifetime access to the complete online course. If you begin online and later decide that you would benefit from hands-on support, you can upgrade to in-person training and pay the difference
Do I need previous jewellery or welding experience?
We explain the equipment, terminology, safety procedures, fitting process and welding technique step by step. You do not need previous jewellery-making or welding experience.
How long does permanent jewellery training take?
In-person training is a focused practical day running from 9am–3pm, supported by online pre-study and lifetime course access afterwards.

How much does it cost to start a permanent jewellery business?
A budget setup using entry-level equipment can begin at approximately £2000, including training, essential tools and a basic welder.
A professional setup with a higher-specification welder and a broader range of chains and charms can cost £2,500–£5,000 or more.
You do not need to purchase the most expensive equipment or a large collection of stock immediately. Our training explains the different options so you can build a setup that suits your budget and business plans.
